Two Days Training for Faculty Members of Universities in Sindh and Punjab” under the project “Social and Religious Tolerance”was conducted at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore. Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab participated in the collaborative venture of Media Training and Research Center (MTRC) and Inter University Consortium for promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS). Luminary Faculty members represented Universities all over Sindh including Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari, whereas, Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique; Director/ Professor at Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab and Miss. Hamna Zahid; MPhil Scholar and Research Associate for the Journal of Behavioral Sciences, IAP, represented the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

The worthy resource person for the 2-Days Conference was Prof. Dr. Muqarrab Akbar who is the Chairman of the Department of Political Science, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan who spoke on social and religious tolerance, violence, social conflict and social cohesion. It was emphasized that the need of the hour is to promote social tolerance and peacebuilding within institutes and students. Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique; Director of Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab concluded the 2-Days Training by the closing speech and certificate distribution ceremony to the participants who enthusiastically participated and made the conference a success.
