Dr. Salman Tariq, Co-Principal Investigator from Remote Sensing, GIS and Climatic Research Lab, (National Center of GIS and Space Applications), University of the Punjab, Lahore conducted two training sessions under RSGCRL’s “Institutional Capacity Building and Professional Development Programme (ICBPDP)” on ”Triggers and Mitigating the Drought, Heat Wave and Cyclone” * and *”Triggers and Mitigating the SMOG and Transboundary Pollution” during a workshop held under ”Project for Capacity Development of Disaster Management in Pakistan” launched by National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) in collaboration with National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and other technical organisations.

These training sessions were conducted for officials of national and provincial disaster management authorities from 25-28 October, 2021 in Islamabad to improve the understanding the concept of disaster management as a subject, enhance their knowledge base and improve their performance at work place.
