M.Sc. Biostatistics (Self-Supporting)

Biostatistics deals with development and applications of statistical tools in biology, medicine and public health. Its role is essential in such areas as the design and analysis of clinical trials in medical and pharmaceutical research, the detection of influential genes, and the search for factors affecting various diseases in epidemiological studies.
Biostatistical methods are widely used in modern genetics and bioinformatics. The multidisciplinary nature of biostatistics requires a close collaboration with colleagues from other fields and makes it necessary to understand the problems they are facing.
