PU IMME team participate in ChemStudio


Lahore: (Tuesday, November 04, 2025): Punjab University Institute of Metallurgy & Materials Engineering (IMME), Faculty of Chemical and Materials team participated in the “ChemStudio” at the Surpriseum of Lahore Science Mela 2025. Under the mentorship of IMME Assistant Professor Dr Ameeq Farooq the team presented more than 26 interactive demonstrations highlighting the wonders of chemistry, materials science, and engineering innovations. Each demonstration was designed to spark curiosity and inspire young minds through hands-on experiences, scientific explanations, and creative experiments that bridged classroom learning with real-world applications. The event brought together scientists, students, educators, and others to come together in the spirit of discovery to learn, explore and celebrate the power of science. The demonstrations covered a wide range of fascinating phenomena like Fake Blood, Hidden Message, Bleeding Heart, Combustion reactions, Color of Copper Sulphate, Chemical Garden, Color of Fumes, Aluminum Can, Copper Electroplating, Zinc Electroplating, Electrochemical Cell, Fruit Cell, Heating and Cooling Pad, Dehydration of Sugar, Bubble Formation, Conductor, Semi-conductor and Insulator materials, Non-Newtonian Fluid, Polarization of Light, Glowing Copper Coil, Brass Layer on Copper and Fingerprint identification. Dr Ameeq Farooq thanks to Secretary Khwarizmi Science Society Dr Sabieh Anwar Siddiqui, joint secretary Dr Muhammad Mustafa and in-charge surpriseum, LSM 2025 Tayyab Iftikhar Sherazi for providing the IMME team the opportunity to be a part of this remarkable event.
