Dr. Muhammad Kamran did his B.Sc. Engineering in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore in 1996. He worked in different industries after graduation. He was offered scholarship for M.Sc. Engineering in Metallurgy by Pakistan Steel and successfully completed his degree in 2001 from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. Shortly after, he joined Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore as Lecturer in June 2001. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2003. He won HEC scholarship and completed his Ph.D. Degree in 2008 from Austria and joined the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, College of Engineering and Emerging Technologies, University of the Punjab, Lahore.
Dr. Kamran is actively engaged in supervision of research work at undergraduate, graduate and post graduate level. He published his research work in well reputed journals and presented work in international conferences. His research areas include Solidification, Welding, Corrosion and Composites. Currently, he is member of various committees/bodies of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. |
