Dr. Ayesha Akram is a Assistant Professor at the Institute of English Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore. She brings with her a diverse teaching experience of more than ten years, both as a regular as well as visiting faculty member. She holds the honor of being one of the only two faculty members selected from Punjab, for a prestigious Visiting Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA (2019) for a master-training on Digital Humanities. She is also the recipient of HEC's Research Fellowship for University of Exeter, United Kingdom (2019/2020), as a part of her Ph.D. research.
Ms. Akram has been involved in a number of academic and non-collegiate activities and projects including the launch of the first successful IELTS program (Focal Person) at her former workplace, University of Education Lahore, in collaboration with the British Council Lahore. She has also worked as a team member to launch the U.S Department of State funded "ACCESS" and "English Works!" projects for D.G. Khan and Faisalabad campuses of the varsity. Ms. Akram has also previously worked with the "US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs" as a Head Instructor in its benchmark project "English Access Microscholarship Program" for South Punjab region.
