Dr. Fatima Muccee obtained Masters degree from University of the Punjab (PU) and M.phil degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. She completed Doctorate degree in Biotechnology from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), in 2019. She has worked as lecturer at Punjab Group of Colleges for six years. She worked as Assistant professor at Department of Biotechnology, Virtual University of Pakistan. She joined Punjab University as Assistant professor at School of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (SBB) in June 2022. She is an HEC approved supervisor. She supervised research students at BS (Hons) and M.phil level. Her current research interests include molecular characterization of genes associated with multiple diseases in human and genes associated with silent estrus behavior in bovine, isolation, molecular characterization, metabolomics and proteomics of persistent organic pollutants metabolizing bacteria. In addition to this, she is working on polymorphism analysis of genes of human and probiotics bacteria using in-silico tools like PHYRE2, PyMOL, I-TASSER, I-Mutant, Mupro, INPS, Ebi-InterPro, EMBL-SMART, Pfam, DTU-TMHMM server, HOPE server, TMpred, ConSurf web server, NetSurfP, muTarget, GEPIA2 database, SABLE, CASTp, Procheck, NetPhos, GPS2.1, UbPred and BDM-PUB server etc. She has published papers in HEC recognized journals.
