PU Islamic Studies research journal “Jihat-al-Islam” published LAHORE: (Wednesday, June 06, 2012): A research journal of Islamic Studies, Jihat-al-Islam ‘Sirah Number’ has been published. The biannual journal Jihat-al-Islam is published by faculty of Punjab University Islamic Studies. The Sirah Number consists in five parts including Mansab-o-Maqam-e-Rasul (PBUH), Anwar-e-Seerat, Classical Sirah Literature - Methodology, Modern Sirah Literature – Methodology and Sirah and Orientalists – An Analytical Study. Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies Prof Dr Hafiz Mahmood Akhtar is the Chief Editor and Associate Prof of Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre Dr Muhammad Abdullah editor of this journal. While a large number of writers from Pakistan and outside the Pakistan contributed in special issue like Ex-Director of Islamic Studies Aligarh Muslim University of India Prof Dr Muhammad Yasin Mazhar Siddique, Ex-Dean of Arts, faculty of Arts Karachi University Prof Dr Nasir Ahmad, Ex-Director Institute of Sirah, the Islamia University Bahawalpur Prof Dr Abdul Rauf zafar, Ex-Editor Minhaj Dial Sing Library Lahore Hafiz Saadullah, Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies PU Prof Dr Hafiz Mahmood Akhtar, Dr Tahir Mustafa, Prof Dr Nizar Sajjad Zaheer, Dr Muhammad Zaid Malik, Dr Raziul Islam Nadvi, Dr Ikram-ul-Haq Yasin, Dr Samina Saadia and Dr Muhammad Shahbaz Munj.
