It is a matter of great pleasure that DAAD (The German Academic Exchange Service) fact finding mission in Pakistan has selected PUCIT for their visit to seek potentials and opportunities for collaboration in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology.

DAAD delegation which was comprised of three members Prof. Dr. Andreas Nürnberger (Head of the Data & Knowledge Engineering Group at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg), Mr. Jabran Rajab (Head External Linkage at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg), and Mr. Azeem Lodhi (Coordinator for Pakistan's University Collaboration at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg) has visited the PUCIT.

On their arrival the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Principal Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar. Prof. Dr. Andreas Nürnberger has presented details about DAAD fact finding mission and various collaborations possibilities in a seminar for about 45 minutes. Subsequently Dr. Nazar Khan presented PUCIT fact sheet along with short and long term research agenda. Afterwards during a brief c ampus visit the Principal PUCIT, Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar has shown various research and development projects running in PUCIT to DAAD delegation. A detailed senior faculty meeting was also arranged with the delegation to workout collaborations plans. Prof. Dr. Andreas Nürnberger has greatly admired informal working environment at PUCIT and attributed this as the key to quality research. At the end the Principal PUCIT presented University of the Punjab souvenirs (sent by the office of worthy Vice Chancellor University of the Punjab) to delegates.
