Collective deaths a result of illiteracy, ignorance: VC Dr Mujahid Kamran


LAHORE: (Sunday, January 29, 2012): Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has stated that the punishment of illiteracy and ignorance was slavery and it also caused collective deaths. There was a game of power, knowledge and money. Knowledge and power were must for respectable survival in the world and knowledge was the headspring of wealth and power.

He expressed these views while addressing orientation ceremony for newly-admitted students of MBA (Evening) Banking & Finance and Insurance & Risk Management at Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF). Principal Prof Dr Khawaja Amjad Saeed, Principal College of Information Technology Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Resident Officer-I Javed Sami, faculty members and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.

VC Dr Mujahid Kamran said that cabal of rich families were working in three areas to establish One World Government including imposition of debt system through banking, enhancement in capacity of deadly weapons and putting the nations on a specific path by controlling their minds through inventions and discovery of new knowledge. He said that eight families own Federal Reserve Bank through which American people have been put under such a debt which they can never pay back. He said American people were powerless against the rich group. On the other hand, US police had been torturing the people but US media was not covering this because 95 percent of US media was owned by six corporations. He said the real history was not being taught in US universities. The Vice-Chancellor said the US rich group termed the mankind as “human garbage” and responsible for killing hundreds of thousands people by imposing wars. He said American people were not our enemy but we were facing a common enemy. He advised the students to have strong grasp over their subjects so that the world could be provided new system. He also advised them to read history and focus on the mysteries of universe. Praising Prof Dr Khawaja Amjad Saeed, the Vice-Chancellor urged the students to follow his personality as a role model for them, who is more active than young people and positive-thinking at this stage of life.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Principal Dr Khawaja Amjad Saeed congratulated Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on re-appointment as VC of the varsity and said he had taken revolutionary initiatives to promote research in PU and the fact book a testimony of his remarkable reforms and achievements. He congratulated students of a bright future and said the course was market-driven and the institutes direly needed them. He advised the students to focus on five things including mental growth, physical fitness, moral, spiritual and societal values to become a good Muslim. He also presented performance report of the College and threw light on curricular, extra-curricular and sports achievements.
