I was born in Lahore in 1972. I did my Masters in Statistics from the University of the Punjab and M.Phil from the Government College Lahore. I did my Ph.D from the University of Nottingham, UK under the supervision of Prof. Andy Wood and Dr. Chris Brignell. My area of specialization is Shrinkage estimation and diagnostic checking of time series models.
In 1997, I was selected as a Lecturer in Statistics through Punjab Public Service Commission. Till 2002, I served at various government colleges as a Lecturer. In 2002, I joined University of the Punjab as a Lecturer in Statistics. Currently, I am working as an Associate Professor. I am HEC approved supervisor and have numerous publications in peer-reviewed national and international research journals.
I am member of Boards of Studies of University of the Punjab, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore School of Economics and Govt. College Women University, Sialkot. I have also worked as a technical expert with Punjab Bureau of Statistics, Crop Reporting Service Punjab and Pakistan Economic Research Institute.
I have expert skills in R-language, LaTeX and statistical packages (SPSS, Minitab etc.). My research interests are theoretical and applied aspects of Regression analysis, Bootstrap methods, Monte Carlo methods, Portmanteau tests and model selection.
