Seminar on Public finance with the theme "Budgets and Budgetary Control in Public sector Organizations" Industry-Academia Linkages Committee of Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) conducted a Seminar on Public finance with the theme "Budgets and Budgetary Control in Public sector Organizations" on 02 March 2022. The Seminar was chaired by the principal HCBF, Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan, while the Panelists Mr. Muhammad Jamil Bhatti (Former Auditor General Punjab), Mr. Muhammad Sharif Rao (Financial Consultant to Public Sector Universities) and Mr. Tasneem Kamran (Treasurer University of the Punjab) enlightened the audience with their practical exposure. ![]() Mr. Muhammad Jamil Bhatti briefed the participants about the public sector's structure and foundation of preparations for budgets. He shed light on the importance and use of audit as a post budgetary control measure. Mr. M. Sharif Rao highlighted that the challenges faced by most public sectors in managing the funds are poor budget forecast and poor control of funds. Mr. Tasneem Kamran briefed the participants about the KPIs on the latest budgeting techniques in Public Sector Universities. Principal HCBF Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan concluded the session by laminating his experience in enforcing and implementing budgetary control as the institution's administrative head and thanked the panelists for sharing their knowledge and expertise with participants.
