PU, KCF sign MoU LAHORE: (Friday, December 19, 2025): Punjab University and Kaarvan Crafts Foundation (KCF) have signed an agreement to collaborate for the implementation of the UN Women-supported project “Digitalization for Women Economic Empowerment” in the districts of Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad. In this regard a signing ceremony was held at PU VC’s office here on Friday. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, CEO KCF Danish Jabbar Khan, Director External Linkages Dr Yamina Salman, Chairperson Department of Digital Media Dr Savera Shami, faculty members and others were present. According to agreement, the purpose of this MoU is to formalize cooperation between KCF and PU to collaborate on digital skills, mentorship, tech villages, training delivery and women's economic empowerment. Enhance digital skills and economic empowerment opportunities for young women aged 18–35 years. Establish and operationalize multipurpose digital learning hubs (Tech Villages), deliver digital literacy, software development, and data analytics trainings, implement a structured mentorship programme connecting students with industry professionals, promote academic, institutional and labor market linkages for women's digital employment, support long-term sustainability, handover, and institutional ownership of project interventions. PU VC Dr Muhammad Ali said that the agreement will be beneficial for the women for their economic empowerment.
