I am a mature, confident and a reliable person. I studied about nine years at Department of Mathematics, University of the Punjab and received my degrees of M.Sc., M.Phil., and PhD. My educational background has a silver medal and national talent scholarship from Lahore Board; a gold medal from Government College Sheikhupura; President UGC scholarship with second position at Pakistan level and second position in M.Phil.
Formally, I started teaching as my career in 1999 and worked with University of Central Punjab (PICS) as lecturer in mathematics. I joined University of the Punjab in 2001 as a lecturer. I have been awarded seven advance increments on the basis of interview (4), academic (2) and orientation (1) after joining the Punjab University. During these years, I taught more than twenty different courses at all B.S/ M.Sc., and M.Phil. / Ph.D. levels. I enjoyed my teaching and earned great respect among all students. Presently, I have been working as Associate professor since 2020. Besides my teaching and other official responsibilities, I am an active researcher and publishing my work in national and international journals with impact factor. My research areas are Number Theory, Mathematical Modeling and Combinatorics. Especially, I focused on graph theory through various structures such as ring, group, etc. and applications of modeling in image processing, bio-informatics, computer vision and pattern analysis and recognition. I am also an approved supervisor by HEC, Pakistan and supervising M.Phil / Ph.D. students.
Moreover, I remained student’s advisor about nine years at the department. I am also a member of the board of study in the department, a member of the board of the faculty of science, a member of the neighborhood watch committee in campus residences, a member of admission committee; focal person of career counseling etc. I love to play games especially I am good at cricket, badminton, and swimming. My great desire is conveying a message of peace, and bringing quality education to uplift the society and the country as well. I am willing to help my students for both teaching and research anywhere any time. |
