LAHORE: (Wednesday, January 5, 2022): Lieutenant General Aamer Riaz, HI(M), (Retd), President, Centre for Global and Strategic Studies, and Brigadier Mansoor Saeed (Retd), Vice President (Punjab Region), CGSS have visited Punjab University and called on PU Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad Akhtar at his office here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor explained the activities and achievements of the university that were executed in collaboration with CGSS. Lieutenant General Aamer Riaz, HI(M), (Retd), President, CGSS appreciated the contribution of the PU in initiating and promoting academic linkages and regional connectivity. He also stated that CGSS will continue to strengthen and expand its cooperation with PU in the years to come. Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar acknowledged the constructive role of CGSS in promoting the academia of Pakistan across the world and providing opportunities to the students of the PU in various domains. Lieutenant General Aamer Riaz, HI(M), (Retd), President, CGSS also had a meeting with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Iram Khalid, Chairperson, Department of Political Science & International Relations and Dr. Mahboob Hussain, Chairman, Department of History and Political Studies. Lieutenant General Aamer Riaz, HI(M), (Retd), President, CGSS acknowledged and appreciated the contribution of Dr. Iram Khalid and Dr. Mahboob Hussain and other faculty members for their continuous cooperation with CGSS. He stated that CGSS wishes to continue and expand cooperation in national and international research projects and initiatives.
