June 30, 2024 – A distinguished delegation, including Vice-Chancellors from various universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) at the University of the Punjab today. The visit highlighted the collaborative spirit and mutual interest in advancing scientific research between the two nations.

Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Punjab, , along with Dean Life Sciences Prof. Faheem Aftab, Director of CEMB, Prof. Moazur Rahman and the group leads of CEMB, welcomed the delegation and provided an in-depth briefing on the ongoing research projects and significant achievements of CEMB.

During the visit, the Iranian delegates were particularly impressed with CEMB's research programs and accomplishments in the agriculture and health sectors. The delegation praised the centre's innovative approaches and contributions to these critical fields, noting the potential for future collaborations.
