LAHORE: (Monday, February 2, 2015): Directorate of Monitoring Home Department Punjab Director General Khalid Bashir Cheema has said that it was the responsibility of every citizen to take care of security measures to cope with terrorists keeping in view the prevailing security environment.

He was addressing a seminar on “Security Measures at Higher Education Institutes” organized by Punjab University Institute of Social and Cultural Studies here on Monday. Dean Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences Prof Dr Zakria Zakir, faculty members and a large number of teachers were present on the occasion. Mr Cheema advised the students to be vigilant and keep watchful eye on their surroundings. On the occasion, an expert from the Directorate of Monitoring imparted training on “Orientation of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)” to the participants. The event was very interactive and increased awareness of the audience about security threats and their preventive measures.
