LAHORE: (Saturday, June 15, 2024): Punjab University Department of Graphic Design has organized a Seminar on ‘GUPSHUP; Design and Communication for Thesis Projects’. On this occasion, Principal College of Art and Design Dr Samina Naseem, Chairman Department of Graphic Design Prof Dr Ahmad Bilal, Creative Head of Vovels Advertising Agency Nadeem Wahid, Prof Asrar Chishti, faculty members and students were present. In his address, Dr Ahmad Bilal said that this seminar is part of a series to build a stronger link between industry and academia. He said that information and knowledge imparted in this seminar will be helpful for the students to prepare their thesis projects in relevance with real challenges of the market. Nadeem Wahid talked about modern trends and challenges in the world of design. He emphasized that the insight of the consumers derives the right positioning, which is the base of any successful campaign. Dr Samina Naseem and Prof Asrar Chishti congratulated the Department of Graphic Design for arranging a fruitful seminar for thesis students. They said that this kind of seminar is helpful for students and sometimes significantly impacts their professional lives.
