I did my M.Sc. and M.Phil in Statistics from University of the Punjab. In 2010, I joined University of the Punjab as lecturer in Statistics. Then, in 2014, I moved to University College London (UCL), UK for my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Serge Guillas and Dr. Chris Brierley. After obtaining my PhD, I moved back to University of the Punjab in 2018 as an assistant professor in Statistics. I have also visited twice Prof. Doug Nychka at the Institute of Mathematics Applied to Geosciences (IMAGe), National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), Boulder, USA as a visitor for around eight months in total.
My research interests lie in spatial statistics, approximate Bayesian methodology and multivariate analysis. I have a particular interest in spatial interpolation and uncertainty quantification in temperatures. |
