PU IER organizes seminar on Anti-Corruption


LAHORE: (Saturday, May 21, 2016): Punjab University Institute of Education & Research (IER) in collaboration with National Accountability Bureau, Lahore organized a seminar on Anti-Corruption at Faisal Auditorium. Additional Secretary Major (r) Ghulam Rasool, Deputy Director (Awareness and training Division) Muhammad Sajid, PU Dean Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhtar, Prof Dr Maher Muhammad Saeed Akhtar, Prof Dr Abid Husain Chaudary, Dr Ahmad Sher Awan, Dr Aroona Hashmi, faculty members, members of character building society students were present on the occasion. It was vehemently urged in the seminar that the students should raise their voice against bribery and corruption. They should play their role by means of practical steps in this connection. It was recommended during the discourses of seminar that literature regarding eradication of corruption should be corporated in the curriculum at all levels of education. Dr Maher Muhammad Saeed Akhtar urged to expand the scope of NAB. Later a walk were also arranged to promote the anti-corruption awareness drive in which a faculty members and students participated.
