Dr. Shamaila is working as lecturer at Institute of Business and Information Technology (IBIT) since 2005. She became a regular faculty member on November, 2008 and since then she has been dedicatedly serving the institute. She has the honor of serving as an elected member of Punjab University Syndicate for two consecutive terms (2011 – 2014 and 2014 - 2017). She has also served in many university and departmental level committees, thus, rendering her services for the better of university.
Currently, she is a doctoral candidate at Business School Lausanne, Switzerland. Her area of doctoral research is ‘Corporate Sustainability’. She has collaborated with local textile industry during her doctoral program, thereby, creating and imparting the indigenous benefits of her research. Earlier, she has done Masters in Business and Information Technology (MBIT) from IBIT and did her Bachelor from Hailey College of Commerce, Punjab University. She has supervision of more than 30 M.Phil level theses on her credit. She also won merit scholarships during her MBIT degree program. She intends to undertake action-oriented research in future for the practical outcomes in order to reduce the theory-practice gap between academia and industry. |
