PU QEC conducts training workshop


LAHORE: (Thursday, February 9, 2023): Punjab University Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) organized one day training workshop for the QEC focal persons of affiliated colleges in Lahore on “How to Prepare Self-Assessment Report (SAR)’ at Al Raazi Hall. On this occasion, Justice (r) Nasira Javed Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Information and Media Studies Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Chairperson Doctoral Program Coordination Committee Prof Dr Anjum Nasim Sabri, Director Institute of Quality & Technology Management Prof Dr Muhammad Usman Awan, Director Colleges Lahore Shahzad Munawar Chaudhary, Director QEC Dr Saima Siddiqui and teachers from various affiliated colleges were present. In her address, Dr Saima said that PU QEC was committed to enhance the quality of education in each and every Institute/College/Department/Centre of university of the Punjab, for the fulfillment of learning requirements and satisfaction of its students, their potential employees and stakeholders by introducing market need-based programs and other initiatives. She said that PU QEC was working hard for the implementation of HEC policies and related Parameters in the Punjab University Affiliated Colleges (PUACs) as well. Higher Education Commission (HEC) evaluates the universities on different parameters; one of those important parameters was Self-Assessment Report. The Director said that HEC was also emphasizing towards evaluation of Affiliated Colleges through implementation of Self-Assessment Mechanism of their BS 4 Years or above, LLB (5 Years), Pharm-D Programs.
