LAHORE: (Thursday, October 19, 2023): Punjab University Department of Social Work organized a seminar on ‘Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Inspiring Change’. PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Chairperson Department of Social Work Prof Dr Uzma Ashiq, Executive Director of Initiatives for Sustainable Development Gul Hassan, INL Director Lori Antolinez, Muhammad Arshad Abbasi, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Dr Khalid Mahmood and Dr Uzma Ashiq conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of the event. Gul Hassan introduced the GBV-JSSP Project, demonstrating its noble objectives. Testimonies from Peace Ambassadors showcased the project's positive impact. The event included a GBV debate, a painting showcase and concluded with an inspiring address by INL Director Lori Antolinez. The event highlighted the potential for positive change through unity and awareness, addressing GBV issues collectively.
