Association of Management Development Institutions of Pakistan (AMDIP) – Lahore Chapter organized its first Faculty Development Program at the Institute of Administrative Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore on Oct 10-11, 2012. The program was conducted as a joint effort of Institute of Administrative Sciences and University of Management and Technology.

Association of Management Development Institutions of Pakistan (AMDIP) has been operating in Pakistan since 2001. Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen, Director Institute of Administrative Sciences has recently taken over the President-ship of AMDIP in 2012 and it is chaired by Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector, University of Management and Technology.

Faculties of various business schools and other institutes widely participated in this workshop. The participating institutes included: Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Lahore School of Economics (LSE), Beaconhouse National University (BNU), University of Central Punjab (UCP), GIFT University, Gujranwala, University of Management and Techonology (UMT), Kinnaird College (KC), Standard College, Superior University and Institute of Administrative Sciences.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad- Rector UMT, Prof. Dr. Ehsan Malik- Dean Faculty of Economics and Management PU and Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen- Director Institute of Administrative Sciences, addressed the participants in the inaugural session. It was followed by number of informative sessions by renowned professionals and experts. The two days workshop included sessions on Communication & Interpersonal skills, Effective Teaching Strategies, Professionalism and Ethics, Research and Academic Publications, Time management and Mentoring and Career Counseling.
The AMDIP faculty development initiative provided participants a platform for networking, partnership, mentoring and institutional collaboration primarily among management faculty and for others in general.
