LAHORE: (Friday, November 16, 2012): Punjab University Hailey College of Commerce New Campus organized a welcome party for newly admitted students at its ground here on Friday.

PU Dean Faculty of Commerce and Principal HCC Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. While addressing the students, Prof Dr Ali said that the college had produced renowned personalities like former Indian premier IK Gujral, former HBL President Haji Abdul Jabbar, Senator Sartaj Aziz, Senator Jahangir Badar, Senator Ishaq Dar, former FBR chairman Abdullah Yousaf and many others.

He said that HCC students received largest number of laptops i.e 3,000 on merit than any other department of PU. He said that the college's research magazine “The Journal of Commerce” was now in the 3 rd year of its publication and our first batch of M. Phil students would graduate by February next year. He advised the students to get benefit from the academic environment of the college and follow college's discipline.
