The Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS), University of the Punjab, Lahore organized a workshop/seminar on December, 13, 2023 (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m. on “Exploring AI (Artificial Intelligence) – Based Research Tools and Their Applications in Academic Research” Mr. Toqeer Ahmad, Mendeley Community Advisor was the guest speaker at the occasion.
The guest speaker discussed about the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) used for research innovation in the modern era. He mentioned about different tools that are already used by the scholars in their research proposals and proposed the methods how to compare these with the AI. He elaborated through examples, how AI is beneficial, easy and valuable in thesis and proposal writing.
In addition, he also discussed about the Chat GPT, Litmap, and Humata which helps the scholars to collect more efficient data within no time. The speaker was of the view that these tools are the best to use in research now a day.
Faculty members, undergrad and post-grad students from various disciplines attended this event.
