PhD teachers need to be increased: Dr Kamran


LAHORE: (Wednesday, July 04, 2012): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has said that the number of PhD teachers must be increased and young faculty must be encouraged to improve standard of education and research. He was addressing a ceremony organized in connection with completion of development projects at the College of Pharmacy.

Senior faculty members including Dean Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences Prof. Dr. Ehsaan Malik, College Principal Prof. Dr. Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan, Prof. Dr. Mazhar Moeen, Prof. Dr. Rahat Naveed Masood, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar, faculty members and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Mujahid Kamran appreciated Dr. Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan for uplifting the college and congratulated him on the successful completion of the development projects. Dr. Saeed–ul-Hassan paid tribute to Dr. Mujahid Kamran for promotion of education and research. He also highlighted the performance of the college and said that due to the personal interest and efforts of Dr. Mujahid Kamran, the college’s research journal has got republished after 10 years, for the past 2 years. Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran also inaugurated tile work for college compound, renovation of animal house, innovative drug delivery system lab, new rooms for faculty teachers, renovation of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab No.1 and renovation of Medicinal Chemistry and Q.C. Lab No. 2. Later, the VC distributed awards amongst deserving college staff.
