LAHORE: (Friday, March 15, 2013): The five-day workshop on National Beekeeping Training has concluded here on Friday. PU Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Chairman Zoology Department Prof Dr Muhammad Akhter, Dr Nasreen Muzaffar, officials from provincials and federal departments, Army officers, faculty members, researchers from all the provinces and a large number of students participated in the ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Liaqat Ali said that it was the matter of pride and pleasure that the participant had learnt theoretical and practical knowledge through this workshop on honey-bee farming. Highlighted the importance of bees flora and wildlife, the researchers said that bees farming should be promoted in the country. They said that such workshops must be organized to create awareness among people about the financial and health benefits of bee farming. Later, certificates were distributed among the participants.
