Welcome from the Director General

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you as an aspirant to becoming a student of this prestigious university. With it you will be becoming a part of its glorious history of over a hundred and twenty three years. It was long being felt that the university should make new campuses, so that people in lesser privileged areas could benefit from them, What had never been done in so many years has been brought to reality by the devotion and hard work of the honorable Chancellor, Governor of the Punjab Lt, Gen. ® Khalid Maqbool, and by our respected Vice-Chancellor Lt. Gen. ® Arshad Mehmood, indeed one of the best, if not the best, Vice-Chancellor the university has ever been privileged to have.

The students especially of this area should consider themselves very lucky to have been delivered with a golden opportunity of getting quality education right at their doorstep. Now there will be no need for them to travel to other cities, spend lots of money on hostel facilities for the education which they can now receive without leaving their homes.

It has been decided to start BBA (Hons), MBA, B. Com (Hons), M.Com, B.Sc. (Hons) (Computer Science), MIT and LLB classes this year. We will soon "Insha Allah" open other disciplines like Pharmacy Research Centre, Total Quality Management and many more. This will hopefully cater fully to the needs of our business and Industry.

The campus offers to its students the best available facilities, eminent teachers, a well stocked library, a spacious multi purpose hall and a canteen. The classrooms are fully air conditioned and equipped with most modern teaching aids to meet the demands of our students. The campus is situated away from the city center so that to offer our students a peaceful environment, away from the daily hustle and bustle, yet it is totally accessible from anywhere in the city by the local transport system.

I believe in hard work, devotion and continuous struggle. To those of you who are lucky enough to be selected I offer my heartiest congratulations and pray for your bright future. This is but our first step; together we will help this institution to grow and prosper and no doubt become one of the leading universities of the world, Amen.
