Admission criteria

Admission shall be made on the basis of the Basic Criteria and Additional Criteria, if applicable to any of the individual / Constituent College / Department.
i) Basic Criteria for MA/M. Sc or Equivalent
Marks earned (1/4 of matriculation + 1/5 of FA/F. Sc or equivalent + BA/B. Sc + Additional marks*)

In case of 100% academic weightage A above will be multiplied by 100 while in case of 70% academic weightage A will be multiplied by 70.
Two marks will be deducted from the marks obtained out of 100 marks for each late year to a maximum of two years.

The candidate should produce a certificate from a well established institution to the effect that he/she is Hafiz-e-Quran Moreover, Departmental Admission Committee shall interview the candidate and make sure that the candidate had learnt the Holy Qur'an by heart and could recite it from whatever portion he/she is required to recite.

When subject marks (earned) are included in the earned marks as additional marks then total subject marks will be added in the denominator total marks.

Note: Ph.D programme emphasizes full time coursework/research. For facilitating University's own staff, workload of a teacher/officer admitted in Ph.D may be reduced to half subject to the maximum of five years. During this relaxation those teachers will not take any class in evening programme/on payment basis. However, the privilege of half work load may not exceed.
