Applications are invited from the Pakistani Nationals for appointment against the following project funded post at the Department of Archaeology, University of the Punjab, Lahore.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE	1	Qualification: MPHIL in Archaeology and relevant fields, with fieldwork component. Experience i) Experience in archaeological field documentation and archaeological survey techniques, ideally within South Asia or a neighbouring region.  ii) Experience of working with geospatial datasets using GIS software (ideally QGIS).  iii)  Experience in the documentation of built heritage. iv) Experience of using mobile applications for data collection that make use of cloud storage.  v)   Experience in supporting and training others in methods of archaeological GIS, remote sensing analysis or archaeological ground survey. Skills i) Knowledge of and skills in the use of GIS and remote sensing methods and techniques. ii)  Familiarity with the archaeology of South Asia. iii) Good communication skills, including the ability to write good English text for publication, present research results, and represent the research group at meetings and conferences to share project findings with non-specialist audiences. iv) A familiarity with the concept and structure of relational databases.  Additional Requirements i) Ability and willingness to travel within Pakistan, and to work flexibly to support the activities of the project. ii) Ability to work well within a team Duration: 1 Year, extendable maximum for 3 years on the basis of performance Salary: Shall be discussed after selection.
