| Requirement |
It is respectfully submitted for your kind approval that, in order to meet the academic requirements of the Fall Semester, 2026, it is necessary to advertise positions for Visiting Teachers for the BS programmes in Arabic, Urdu, Kashmiryat, Punjabi, and Persian for the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th semesters. |
The Visiting Teachers are required to teach the following courses: |
1. General (Natural Sciences): Physics for Everyday Life
2. Functional English
3. Civics and Community Engagement
4. Islamic Studies / Ethics (for Non-Muslims)
5. Application of Information and Communication
6. Expository Writing
7. Pakistan Studies
8. Translation of the Holy Quran / Fehm-ul-Quran
9. Artificial Intelligence (AI) (if required) |

| Criteria |
It is further proposed that the last date for submission of applications may be fixed as 31-07-2026, while the interviews of eligible candidates may be conducted in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Oriental Learning, University of the Punjab, Lahore. |
It is also proposed that the advertisement should clearly specify the following instructions for applicants: |

Applicants must submit the prescribed Job Form for Contract/Part-Time Appointment, available on the University of the Punjab website, along with their written application. The application form can be downloaded from: https://pu.edu.pk/page/downloads. |

The written application, clearly mentioning the subject/course for which the candidate is applying, should be addressed to the Dean, Faculty of Oriental Learning, University of the Punjab, Lahore. |

Each application must be accompanied by: |

the duly completed prescribed application form; |

attested copies of all academic testimonials, experience certificates, and other relevant documents; and |

the original paid deposit slip of Rs. 1,000/- deposited in the prescribed University of the Punjab, Lahore, Bank Name: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Account Number: 01820070001201. |

Complete applications must reach the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Oriental Learning, Oriental College, University of the Punjab, Lahore, on or before 31-07-2026. Applicants are also required to send a scanned copy of their complete application to dean.ol@pu.edu.pk by the closing date. |
