The Faculty of Law is one of the oldest Faculties of the Punjab University. It comprises of the University Law College and 20 Private Law Colleges affiliated with the University. The Faculty, headed by the Dean, provides a strong link between the University and the Law Colleges.
The Faculty of Law is producing well-trained law graduates, capable of taking up responsibilities in the judiciary, government, politics and the legal profession. They provide protection under the Rule of Law to the citizens against public and private excesses. We are proud of the fact that the Faculty has produced a number of great lawyers and Judges who have rendered valuables services to the nation. The Faculty has always been striving for better standards of legal education and research. It has played a pioneering role in higher legal education by introducing Diploma classes in Taxation, Labour Law, Intellectual Property and Environmental Law. Our LL.M and Ph.D. programs are comparable with those of prestigious universities in developed countries.
