LAHORE: (Tuesday, December 18, 2012): Members and office bearers of Punjab University Academic Staff Association, Syndicate and Senate on Tuesday called on Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran at his office in order to felicitate on dismissal of writ petition against him by honourable Lahore High Court.

The delegates said that the historical decision of the honourable Lahore High Court had buried the rumours forever and some people were doing negative politics on the basis of such baseless writ petitions. Meanwhile, PU ASA termed the decision as landmark for educational institutions. Expressing pleasure on the decision, ASA leaders Javed Sami, Dr Shaukat Ali, Dr Ehsan Sharif and others said in a press release that the decision would wipe out negative politics from the university for all the times to come and the world would witness completion of mega projects soon. They said that PhD program would be strengthened further. They said that the Academic Staff Association would continue its support to revolutionary and positive policies of PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran.
