PU celebrates evening with Muhammad Siddique

LAHORE(Sunday April 28, 2013): An evening was celebrated with renowned singer Muhammad Siddique, brother of legendary singer of subcontinent Muhammad Rafi, at Vice Chancellor's House, New Campus here the other day. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, Registrar Prof Dr Khan Rass Masood, deans, principles and senior faculty members were present on the occasion. Muhammad Siddique enthralled audience by singing renowned ghazals. Sharing memories of the life of Muhammad Rafi, Muhammad Siddique said that once Mr Jawahar Lal Nahro offered Muhammad Rafi a good amount of money and a luxury house but Muhammad Rafi said that he is called Rafi and demanded that he might please be officially recognized as Muhammad Rafi. PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran lauded the art of singing of Muhammad Siddique. Dr Khan Rass Masood said that most of the did not know that legendary artist's brother lived in Lahore.
