Farewell held for Dr Munawar Ali Munawar

LAHORE: (Tuesday, March 7, 2017): Punjab University Institute of Chemistry on Tuesday held a farewell in the honor of its senior faculty members professor Dr Munawar Ali Munawar at its Auditorium here on Tuesday. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Director Institute of Chemistry Dr Makshoof Athar, Professor Emeritus Prof Dr Jamil Anwar, Dr Misbah Khan, Dr Ejaz, Dr Ehsan Sharif, Dr Arshad, senior faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

The speakers expressed profound regards and lauded the services of Prof Dr Munawar Ali Munawar and said they had found him the best friend, the best teacher, the best colleague and the best human being. They said that Dr Munawar had a sea of organic chemistry and he was unmatched in his field in Pakistan. They said that he had always extended help to his students and had supervised 25 PhD and 90 M Phil students. They said Dr Munawar had 6 books and 150 research publications in his credit and he worked with dedication and honesty throughout his career. On this occasion, Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir announced that the university would continue to benefit from the knowledge and experience of Dr Munawar and it would not waste such an asset of the institute.
