PU celebrates Milad-un-Nabi with religious fervor

LAHORE: (Thursday, January 24, 2013): Punjab University has celebrated Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious and traditional zeal and zest here on Thursday. In this connection, PU Main Library organized a special lecture on “Oswa-e-Husna”. Religious scholar Hafiz Muhammad Salim threw light on the topic and said that Muslims should follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to cope with the challenges being faced by the Ummah. Chief Librarian Ch. Muhammad Hanif stressed the need to organize such kind of programmes on regular basis so that for purity of our heart and soul. Deputy Chief Librarian Muhammad Haroon Usmani conducted the seminar while a large number of students and staff members were also present. Department of Applied Psychology and Centre for Clinical Psychology also commemorated the auspicious event of Milad ul Nabi and organized a Mehfil-e-Milad in which a large number of faculty members, students and staff members participated. The Department of Gender Studies celebrated Millad un Nabi and organized seminar on the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
