LAHORE: (Friday, June 20, 2014): Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen, Chairperson, Department of Library and Information Sciences and PU Doctoral Program Coordination Committee, has received an International Award for Excellence from Satija Research Foundation for Library and Information Sciences (SRFLIS), India on her outstanding contributions to higher education in Library & Information Sciences in Pakistan and at international level.

She has also served on organizing committees of various international conferences and has chaired their sessions in many countries. She also has the distinction of having served as Secretary, International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions’ Special Interest Group on LIS Education in developing countries. PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has presented her the Award and congratulated on this great achievement.
