LAHORE: (Tuesday, October 18, 2011): An eight-member delegation of National School of Public Policy (NSPP)’s National Management College (NMC) visited the Punjab University and met senior faculty members of the varsity in the Committee Room of VC Office. Director Centre for High Energy Physics Prof Dr Khawaja Haris Rashid presided over the meeting. The members of the delegation included Dr Ali Bat Khan, Anum Asad Amin, Bashir Ahmad, Ch Safdar Hussain, Shabbir Ahmed, Sohail Qadeer Sddiqui, Usman Ali and Waheed Akhtar Ansari while Muhammad Anwar Goraya was also present. From PU, Dean Faculty of Behavioral and Social Studies Prof Dr Muhammad Hafeez, Principal College of Information Technology Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Chairman Physics Department Prof Dr Shaukat Ali, Chairperson Applied Psychology Department Prof Dr Rukhsana Akhtar, Director Planning & Development Tariq Majeed Qureshi, Advisor to VC Col. (R) Ikramullah and Director External Linkages Maria Maldonado attended the meeting.

At the outset of meeting, Tariq Majeed Qureshi made a detailed briefing about the university campuses, departments, administrative structure, budget, examination system, curriculum, improve of PU in universities ranking, increase in PhD and research grants and publications. Later a question answer session was also held. The delegation’s members asked about the academic, budget, infrastructure and future projects of the varsity. They also appreciated the university administration’s steps for the welfare of faculty members, students and employees and research affairs.
