LAHORE: (Friday, November 08, 2013): Punjab University Department of Mathematics organized two days “Lecture Series on Cosmology” November 8-9, 2013 here at Department of Mathematics.

PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran was the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Asghar Qadir, Professor Emirates, NUST, Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sharif, Chairman, Department of Mathematics and a large number of faculty members as well as students were also present on the occasion. Addressing to the participants, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran said that Prof. Dr. Asghar Qadir has great contributions in the field of Mathematics. He has trained a large number of young scientists who are doing research and has also been producing PhDs and enlightening more candles. He praised the contributions of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sharif, Chairman Mathematics Department and said that he had been promoting research culture in the Mathematics Department. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sharif, Chairman, Mathematics Department paid thanks to the Vice Chancellor for promoting research atmosphere in the University as well as sparing his prestigious time for attending the Lecture Series.
