LAHORE: (Friday, December 29, 2023): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood has said that philanthropists should play their role to save the destitute and deserving people from the severity of cold weather. He expressed these views in a ceremony organized by Punjab University Administrative and Technical Staff Association to distribute quilts, mattresses and pillows among the university employees by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. On this occasion, Registrar Dr Ahmad Islam, PUATSA President Chaudhry Basharat Mahmood, other members and employees were present. In his address, Dr Khalid Mahmood thanked Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan for the gifts provided to PU’s deserving employees. He hoped that the president and members of PUATSA would continue to work together with the administration in the construction and development of the university. PUATSA President Chaudhry Basharat Mehmood thanked the VC and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and said that they are playing a role at all levels with the support of the administration for the welfare of the employees. Later, the VC distributed quilts, mattresses and pillows among the deserving employees.
