LAHORE: (Thursday, September 3, 2026): Punjab University Faculty of Commerce and SustainaDility, LLC have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a collaborative framework for piloting a structured remote internship programme for students of the Faculty of Commerce. The MoU signing ceremony was held at Punjab University Hailey College of Commerce. On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Commerce Prof. Dr. Hafiz Zafar Ahmad and Mr. Sajjeed Aslam, Partner, SustainaDility signed the MoU. The ceremony was attended by HCC Principal Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad, HCBF Principal Dr. Ahmed Munib Mehta, DG Gujranwala Campus Dr. Muhammad Saddique and DG Jhelum Campus Prof. Dr. Mudassar Ghafoor and faculty members. According to details, the MoU is effective for a period of twelve months and provides a framework for mutual cooperation in implementing the remote internship model. SustainaDility will support the Faculty of Commerce in implementing a managed remote internship model, including sourcing and onboarding host organizations, developing structured internship roles and competency maps, providing access to its ARC platform at no cost, onboarding and training users, supporting alignment with programme learning outcomes, progress tracking, digital experience certificates, and administrative support for implementation.

The programme is designed to provide students with flexible internship opportunities throughout the year, delivered remotely or through a hybrid model. The collaboration covers four major academic entities of the Faculty of Commerce. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Hafiz Zafar Ahmad appreciated the initiative and expressed his hope that the collaboration would provide students with enhanced access to practical learning, industry exposure, and modern workplace experiences. He said that the MoU represents an important step toward strengthening industry-academia collaboration, expanding experiential learning opportunities, and preparing commerce students for the evolving requirements of the modern employment market.
