Beijing – September 7, 2026 A high-level International Academic Symposium was held at Peking University, Beijing, from September 4 to 7, to mark the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.

The prestigious event, titled "International Academic Symposium Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Pakistan," was organized at the historic Science Lecture Hall (Zhongguan Xinyuan) of Peking University.

Dr. Baseera Ambreen, Director of the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature, Oriental College, University of the Punjab, Lahore, was specially invited from Pakistan to present her research paper and attend a special seminar at the Department of Urdu.

The two-day symposium brought together eminent scholars, literary figures, intellectuals, writers, journalists and senior officials from both Pakistan and China. Faculty members and students of Peking University participated in large numbers.
The conference was graced by leading representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing, Centre for Pakistan Studies (Peking University), Department of South Asian Studies, Understanding China Forum and China Three Gorges South Asia Investment.
Speakers highlighted the deep-rooted Pakistan-China friendship and presented valuable research papers on language and literature, politics, society, economy, media and journalism.
