It is to bring into the notice that 14 Instagram & 30 fake Facebook Accounts, which were using either Punjab University logo or name, were reported to FIA. After legal action was taken by FIA, 13 Instagram Accounts have been closed. Similarly, out of 30 reported Facebook Accounts, 19 are either closed or not using PU name and logo. University Administration is actively pursuing the case for closure of remaining accounts. In this context, any fake news/notification published on Social Media regarding university, will be reported to FIA for legal action.
