Cruelty, lie, fraud reasons for fall of Muslims

LAHORE: (Thursday, March 21, 2013): Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel has said that the cruelty, lie and deception are the reasons behind the fall of our nation. He said that the only way to the success was to please Allah and follow the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad SAW.

He was addressing a conference titled “Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) and the Problems of the Present Age” organized by Directorate of Students Affairs at Faisal Auditorium here on Thursday. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, former Sindh Chief Minister Ghulam Arbab Rahim, Director Students Affairs Shahid Mahmood Gul, deputy advisor Zubair Akram, faculty members, a large number of students and a huge number of people from all walks of life were present on the occasion. Maulana Tariq Jameel said that only two states of Muslims were established in the name of Islam; one was Madina and the other was Pakistan. He said that our elders made our country after great sacrifices but we had defaced it and our social values had ruined. He said that the problem of collapsing nations was that it blamed others for their faults and crises. He said that America and India were not behind our moral debacle. He said that our rulers and bureaucracy were cruel, our parents were being humiliated by their sons and daughters, drug points, brothel, and bars had been opened, women were dancing, young boys were playing with guitar, lawyers were preparing files to provide protection to crime, interest had been taken as business, judge’s justice is sold, patient had become a customer for doctor, teachers were selling their knowledge, scale of trader and shopkeeper was imbalanced, property dealers were exploiting compulsions of sellers and street vendors had become swindlers. “Are America and Hindus behind it,” he asked, adding that we were being punished only because of our own sins. Maulana Tariq Jameel said that we had limited our religion to Salaa’t, Fasting, Zakat and Hajj. He said that rights of Allah were 10 percent and rights of people were 90 percent in Islam. He said that Allah used one sentence to describe his rights and used four sentences to describe rights of parents. He said that our whole religion was in our tongue and we should have a complete control over it. He said that our words must be polite and we must adopt good moral values and attitude. He stressed the need to adopt system of self accountability which would provide a platform for establishment of good society. He said that we must change our priorities and we must not annoy Allah with our deeds. He said that we should resolve to live like a positive citizen in our country. He said that we were degree holders but we were not knowledgeable people. He advised the students not to get education for the sake of degree only but to open horizons of mind and resolve the mysteries of the universe. Later, Maulana Tariq Jameel and all the participants prayed for the betterment of country and society with wet eyes.
