LAHORE: (Sunday, February 9, 2025): Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (ICET) hosted an on-campus recruitment drive titled ‘Catalyst Drive 2025’ by Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) for students of BSc Chemical, Electrical Engineers and Applied Chemistry. On this occasion, Director of ICET Prof Dr Syed Nadir Hussain, FFC officials, faculty members and a large number of students were present.

In his address, Dr Syed Nadir Hussain emphasized the significance of fostering strong ties between academia and industry to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. He encouraged future collaborations that would benefit both students and the industry through strategic research initiatives for advanced technologies for sustainable industrial systems in the areas of climate change, carbon capture, advanced materials, students’ scholarships, and industrial problem-solving projects. He appreciated the efforts of Dr Ayyaz Muhammad and Dr Usman Rashid to make the event well-organized and successful.
FFC representatives delivered an insightful presentation, highlighting the company’s contributions to the fertilizer industry and its commitment to innovation. They provided students with valuable career insights, emphasizing the importance of skill development and industry readiness.
