October 29, 2025---The Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, is proud to announce that Mr. Zaheer Abbas has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Molecular Characterization and Anticancer Potential Studies of Recombinant Human Interleukin-37.”

Mr. Zaheer carried out his doctoral research under the supervision of Dr. Nadeem Ahmed, Prof. Kausar Malik, and Dr. Samia Afzal. His work focused on the molecular and functional analysis of recombinant human IL-37, contributing valuable insights to the field of molecular immunology and cancer biology.

The external examination committee comprised Prof. Dr. Hamid Mukhtar from the Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Government College University Lahore, and Dr. Muhammad Yar from the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biomedical Materials (IRCBM), COMSATS Lahore.
