LAHORE: (Friday, September 4, 2026): The trend of admissions at Punjab University has increased, breaking the previous record. In the first phase this year, as many as 12,247 students have been admitted, whereas last year a total of 11,000 students were admitted across both phases. PU has completed 12,247 admissions in the very first phase of this year’s admission process. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali said that the increase in admissions reflects the candidates’ confidence in the quality of education at PU. He said that the university provides the best education at the lowest fees. He further stated that PU offers the highest number of scholarships and subsidies to its male and female students. The second phase of admissions at PU will begin on September 8, during which admissions will reopen for the seats remaining vacant in various programs.
