PU conducts fire safety mock drill

LAHORE: (Thursday, October 01, 2026): Punjab University Health Care Centre in collaboration with the Rescue 1122 team conducted a fire safety mock drill to assess the Centre’s emergency preparedness and response capabilities in the event of a fire or any other unforeseen emergency. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tehseen Zamir Ali, along with doctors and staff members of the Health Care Centre, actively participated in the drill. The session included a practical demonstration and hands-on training on the proper use of fire extinguishers, enabling participants to gain firsthand experience in responding to a fire emergency. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tehseen Zamir Ali emphasized the importance of such training, stating that timely and appropriate action during an emergency can save lives. She further stressed that fire safety drills and training sessions should be conducted regularly to ensure that staff remain prepared and confident in dealing with emergency situations.
