PU Undergrad Students Presented Research at International Conferences

PU undergrad students of electrical engineering have presented their research at the International Workshop on Soft Computing Applications (SOFA’22), held at UAV Romania and the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electrical, Control, and Telecommunication Engineering, held at the Department of Electrical Engineering (ETECTE’22), The University of Lahore, Dec 2022. SOFA was sponsored by IEEE Romania section, and IEEE computational intelligent society, while ETECTE was sponsored by IEEE Lahore section, IEEE IAS, IEEE ComSoc, and IEEE PES chapters. Students have completed their research under the supervision of Dr. Umar Farooq. Arslan Amjad and Ahmad Ali presented research paper on the Fuzzy Logic Based Control of Dual Output Buck Converter while Areesha Raheem and Hareem Siddique presented research paper on the Deep Learning Based Monitoring of Power Quality Disturbances during SOFA’22. Umair Butt, Hasin Butt, and Dawood Imtiaz presented poster on the Tracking Control of Boost Power Converter during ETECETE’22. Tuba Sehr and Sarah Aimen presented poster on the Lyapunov Based Sliding Control of Chemotherapy Dosage Adjustment during ETECETE’22. Gulbaz Khan and Ayesha Asif presented poster on the Power Quality Improvement in Grid-Connected Inverters during ETECETE’22. Arslan Amjad and Ahmad Ali presented poster on the Design of Higher Order Buck Power Converter during ETECETE’22. Mujahid Hussain, Adeel Naeem, and Muhammad Umer presented poster on the Synchronization Control of Chaotic Systems. PU senior faculty member, Dr. Umar Farooq was also invited to deliver a keynote speech at ETECETE’22. He presented key findings from his research work on the Robust Control Design of Tele-robotic Systems, which was jointly carried out with Dalhousie University, Canada during the last ten years.
